Journey to Nicole
April 15
We went to the Chongqing Zoo today. The Pandas were really cute. Next, our guides took us to a gallery where famous local artists paint. We purchased some of the well-known "leaf paintings". The artists paint on one side of the leaves and attach a silk backing to the other side. Chongqing is known throughout China for these paintings. Even our guides purchased some. Beautiful!
Nikki is still doing great. She has learned how to give kisses. Her Daddy taught her that. Super sweet!! She is still a very happy baby girl. What a blessing! She is eating and sleeping very well. Nikki really loves to hold our hands and walk. We went down in the lobby tonight to walk around and she saw some stairs and kept wanting to walk up and down them. She drew quite a crowd on several occasions.
It continues to amaze our entire group how happy all of our babies are. This is not the norm. We were prepared for the possibility that the babies would be upset for at least a few days. Most of the babies in our group have colds or bronchitis or ear infections. (This is very common.) Most of them have been to the local clinic located here in the Hilton, too.
